CHINA US TREASURY BOND CONSPIRACY

Many mid-level policy makers in China believe the controversial assertions set forth in the book “Currency War,” a Chinese best seller are true. The book suggests that the United States deliberately lured China into buying its securities knowing that they would later plunge in value. The Chinese blame the US for their own poor judgment in investing in US securities. Economic nationalists in China are questioning the benefits of China’s integration into the international economic system. China's $US3.8 trillion ($4.2 trillion) of currency reserves are the largest stockpile ever amassed.
